ABOUT
With her unapologetically country sound and determination to stay true to her roots, Amber Mitchell makes music that tells stories just as genuine as herself. Growing up in small-town Ontario, the singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist joined her family at many local musical jams, where she began singing and playing her grandma’s fiddle along to classic country songs. Now, she has been playing all over southern Ontario with various artists.
With a unique voice compared to Anita Carter and Holly Dunn you won’t hear anything quite like her today. Amber is always striving to keep it country, pulling inspiration from the songs she grew up hearing her family and friends sing. Anything from Hank Williams and the Hag, to The Chicks and Margo Price.
In Amber's latest release she takes you down memory lane, reminiscing about growing up on her family farm. A time before cellphones, when curfew was simply when the streetlights came on. It is all about growing up and figuring yourself out, and looking back on those years.
